Slash’s revolutionary clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the racing gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds for fast battery swaps on the pit bench. This convenient hidden latching system replaces traditional body clips with large, reinforced panels to maintain body integrity and resist pull-through damage.
Slash’s oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive rebuild kits.
Slash’s long 13.2″ wheelbase chassis provides superior stability on the high-speed straights with over 3.5 inches of ground clearance to prevent bottoming out. The chassis includes drain holes and a battery tray channel for routing servo wires to the receiver.
Integrated chassis nerf bars offer side body support for door to door racing action. Ruggedly designed body mounts incorporate reinforced washers to support the short course truck body during big-air jumps and high-speed runs.
Slash’s patented sealed receiver box gives you the freedom to drive where you want, when you want. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a special water-tight seal. A blue O-ring seals the receiver box to protect the receiver from water.
The patented High-Current Connectors funnel maximum power to the vehicle’s electronics. High-Current Connectors also provide the quickest, safest charge for Traxxas batteries.
The TQ’s advanced programming provides long-range control with smooth, glitch-free performance. 2.4 GHz technology allows you to race multiple vehicles side by side without interference. The TQ’s ergonomic design is comfortable for all day driving with an internal antenna that is impervious to damage.
A race truck needs a powerful steering servo for responsive performance. The waterproof steering servo (2075) uses O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet. The Traxxas digital high-torque servo provides precise steering authority and speed for wheel-to-wheel racing in the backyard or on the track.
Slash’s BFGoodrich tires have excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on pavement. Their authentic scale looks and realistic performance add to the racing experience. The tires come mounted and pre-glued to 2.2″ replica short course wheels.
Slash’s innovative battery tray accommodates both flat and “hump” pack NiMH batteries. The extended tray allows the battery packs to be positioned forward or backward for front/rear weight bias tuning. An optional battery hold down kit is available for use with oversize batteries.
Slash’s high-performance bellcrank steering system minimizes bump steer for precise wheel placement and increased cornering stability.
Heavy duty steel turnbuckles allow trackside camber and toe tuning for greater agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they won’t pop off during a race.
Slash uses pro-quality, high-grade, metric hex-drive hardware throughout for extra strength and easy maintenance. The black-oxide rust-resistant finish provides a high tech look and feel.
High-flying stunts won’t upset Slash’s tough clipless body. Locking tabs hold the body tightly, but release in just seconds. Slash’s hidden latching system maximizes convenience and scale realism by removing traditional body clips which would interrupt the body’s clean lines.
Engineered to handle the abuse of bumper to bumper bashing, the scale tube-style bumpers are designed to absorb brutal impacts while looking the part of a true short course race truck.
The sealed gearbox protects transmission components from dirt and rocks. The molded motor plate includes finned cooling channels that work in conjunction with the motor’s internal fan to pull air through the motor for superior cooling.
The Magnum 272’s all metal gears ride on ultra-smooth sealed ball bearings. The bulletproof Torque-Control slipper clutch and metal transmission gears are ready to handle any power system upgrade including the extreme Velineon brushless power system.
Semi-metallic pads and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates dissipate heat and provide consistent traction. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range to provide smooth, linear engagement. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.
The planetary gear differential uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance and its efficient design puts maximum tire-shredding power to the wheels.
Rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
