Isn't Traxxas competing against my local hobby shop for their parts sales?
Absolutely not! For over 16 years, Traxxas has offered sales of parts by phone for those customers who do not have the benefit of a local hobby shop to service their needs. is designed to compliment the entire parts support system for Traxxas products. Its purpose is to meet the needs of consumers that have shifted or compressed time schedules, live in remote areas, or customers who are not able to call us during normal business hours. Consumers who can be serviced by a local hobby shop are encouraged to purchase their parts from their local dealer. charges full retail price for all parts, plus shipping and handling charges. Standard delivery time is approximately 2-weeks. Overnight delivery is a minimum of $25.00 U.S. Buying from your local shop puts the parts in your hand immediately (same day service!) with no extra shipping charges. If you have a hobby shop nearby, we ask that you support them. This helps to assure that they'll be there to support you in the future!

Is your online site secure?
Yes. Your personal information is protected against loss by multiple layers of security and state-of-the-art encryption technology. We do not store any credit card information on our servers. Credit card numbers must be re-entered with each order. To further protect you from fraud we require that the shipping address be the same as the credit card billing address, and we require the 3 or 4 digit validation code from the back of the credit card. Additionally, our shipping carrier protects against fraud by not allowing a package to be redirected to an address other than the cardholder's billing address after the package has been shipped.

What do I need to be able to order parts online?
You will need a reliable e-mail address to receive order/shipping confirmations. You will need a Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit card. You will need the 3 or 4-digit validation code from the back of the card so make sure you have it handy when ordering. Also, the billing address of the credit card becomes the shipping address. If you are borrowing a credit card, you will need to make arrangements with the cardholder to receive your package and hold it for you.

Why does BuyTraxxas require the shipping and billing address (from my credit card) to be the same?
This limitation is here to protect Traxxas and the cardholder against fraud.

What is a temporary authorization charge and why should I care?
Temporary authorization charges are used by credit card issuers to approve transactions. When an order is confirmed, a temporary authorization charge is placed on the account to verify that the account is active and that it has sufficient credit to complete the purchase. This charge remains on the account until the order is fully processed, at which time the temporary charge is replaced by the actual charge. Why should you care? Normally you wouldn't because you would never see this temporary charge on your statement, just the actual charge for the purchase. It does matter however when an order is cancelled and the actual charge is never settled against the temporary charge by the credit card issuer. The temporary charge can remain on your account for up to 30 days before it drops off automatically. This can be a problem because the temporary charges reduce your available credit, and with debit cards, it can lock up funds, preventing access to some of your cash. Unfortunately this is standard procedure for credit card validation that has been put in place by the card issuers, not Traxxas. If you find yourself with a temporary unsettled charge on your account caused by a cancelled order, contact your credit card issuer first. We will be happy to do whatever we can to work with you in removing any leftover temporary charges.

Why don't you ship to PO/APO/FPO mailboxes?
Our shipping carrier requires a street or physical address for all deliveries. PO/APO/FPO mailboxes require using the U.S. Postal Service. Currently, our site does not calculate actual shipping costs for USPS to deliver to PO/APO/FPO mailboxes.

Why don't you ship international orders from your site?
For international orders, our standard shipping and handling rates do not apply, and the site currently does not calculate actual shipping charges for international orders. Our international customers are welcome to contact us by phone at 972-265-8000 (or e-mail: for help in obtaining parts directly from Traxxas or through our worldwide partners.

How long does it take to get my order?
If standard ground shipping is selected, it can take up to 3-days to process and ship the order, and then 7-10 days of travel time to you. These are typical delivery times and may be shorter or longer, depending on the volume of orders we receive and your proximity to Texas. For an extra charge, overnight and 2-day delivery orders will ship the same day, if the order is submitted before 11:30am central time.

What do I do if I have a problem ordering online or wish to cancel my order after it has been submitted?
If you are having technical difficulties with the function of the site, please send an e-mail describing the problem or suggestion to If you wish to cancel an order after it has been placed, please contact one of our friendly customer service representatives at 1-888-TRAXXAS (8:30am to 9:00pm central time). You can also send an e-mail to Be sure to have your order number and customer number available when you call. Since it takes some time for orders to work their way through the system, allow at least 3-hours during the day before calling.

Will I get a bunch of junk spam if I give you my e-mail address?
